A Gathering of Leaders in Greece

What happens when you gather 80 leaders in Philippi (left) to enter into the story of when Paul meets Lydia, a businesswoman with influence who helps start the first church in Europe? More than you might imagine.
Mihai (right), Director of LeaderImpact in Romania, attended this gathering in Greece and met our speaker, Horst Schulze (middle). Horst’s story of business success and faith resonated with Mihai and inspired him to take new steps of faith back home.
Fast forward a year and a half.
Through Mihai's leadership and renewed vision, Horst traveled to Cluj, Romania where he was the keynote speaker for a gathering of over 700 people at 5 events over 2 days (the largest initiative Leader Impact had ever managed). These events led to the launching of a dozen NEW Leader Impact groups in multiple cities all over Romania that focus on sharing Jesus with professionals and empowering them to make disciples in the marketplace.

Equipping Others to Listen & Share their Story
In 2025 we set up refreshment stations along the Via Francigena in Italy and walked with pilgrims trusting God for opportunities to have spiritual conversations with pilgrims making their way to Rome. Not surprisingly, 70% of pilgrims were open to talking about Jesus. Over four months, we trained 50 people who had conversations with 737 pilgrims from 42 different countries resulting in 120 different stories of God drawing people closer to himself. This is just the start of a new initiative to come alongside pilgrims in Italy.
Here's one of those stories.
While at Monte della Gioia, a married Spanish couple stopped at the pilgrim station to rest, where they met Shaun & Courtney.
As Courtney and Shaun began to speak with them about their journey and their belief in God, one made a curious comment to which the other shook their head, “We have not had belief in God, but we want to.” After several more questions, Shaun asked if they had ever heard the story of the Bible in 2 minutes. They said they hadn’t. Shaun then shared the narrative Gospel (creation, fall, redemption, restoration) and God’s invitation to them to
reconnect their lives to him through Jesus and asked what they thought.
Leo, the husband, responded, “That is beautiful.”
When asked to expound, Leo said, “I don’t think I could say what I am feeling in English.” Shaun & Courtney sat for a moment, allowing themselves to feel the weight of what Leo just said. To break the silence, Shaun jested, “that’s ok, God speaks Spanish too.”
After a good laugh, Shaun and Courtney shared more about inviting God to walk with them on the path of life. The couple said they would think about that and thanked them for talking with them.
